Male Fancy Dress Ideas

The men from Bucks Fizz worefetching navy/ green jumpers with 2 coloured stripes on the arm.	A black beret, and a red T-shirt with a spider on and you are madcap Alf Poier, don't forget the crazy dance moves too!		The infamous Guildo Horn wore a green velor suit, with a multi-coloured shirt with frilly cuffs. Make sure to get the hairstyle right!
You could dress up like a Native American Indian, like Roger Pontare did in 2000 when performing his strange "When Spirits Are Calling My Name".			A false moustache, a wig, a black jacket with sequins and a serious face help create "Pump, Pump" from Finland.
		A cowboy outfit creates the band members of Texas Lightning, Germany's last entry. Neon catus optional!

White suit with red shirt recreates Shadow's frontman from 75.	To become Peter the drummer from Estonia 2004 is easy, you need a bald head, two stick-on horns, and no drumsticks!		Denmark's 1997 performer can be recreated with a white shirt, black jacket, sunglasses, and leopard-skin pants!
Why not come in drag, as Israeli transexual Dana International, you can choose to wear either the plain dress, or her bird costume black dress with feathers (s)he wore for the reprise.			Another drag option is the air hostesses from Slovenia 2002
Or copy Luxembourg's "Papa Pingouin" from 1980 with a penguin suit!	Find an Austin Powers suit to appear as Cliff singing Congratulations...		...or recreate his second attempt with a red and black leather jacket and black pants.
A toothless grin, blue stripey t-shirt and blue dungarees creates the Danish 1980 entrant Bamses Venner.	70's style suits, and outwards bending knees are essential for a Brotherhood of Man costume.		Tartan pants and black t-shirt and blazer combo, and voila - Turkish ska band Athena's lead singer.

	Deen from Bosnia-Herzegovina 2004 is yet another option. You can wear the pink vest from the final performance, or the dark pink unbuttoned sleeveless shirt, with red sunglasses and blue fingerless gloves
	The Swedish 1986 effort E' de' det här du kallar kärlek? provides some good costumes courtesy of their backing singers, one wearing a yellow wrestling singlet, the other a grey suit and top hat; and their guitar soloist, a shirtless man in a black pants, with a rambo-style head band.
Djambo Djambo from Switzerland is a simple on to do with a typical clown outfit.		Ich Troje have entered twice for Poland, choose between the 2003 red hear and grey jacket with doves, or the 2006 green hair with white and gold outfit.
Dress as Ghengis Khan, who featured in Germany's 1979's song about him, imaginitively called "Ghengis Khan".	Easier options include "Eightie's Coming Back" singers Ruffus, with a shirt and tie combo from the decade in question, or Aivaras from Lithuania, another who found the black beret appealing, combined with his blue, black, cream and pink striped jumper.		Combine a stick-on monobrow, with a black top and jeans, and you have Max from Germany 2004.
Futuristic space-garb (think: binbags and shinpads on your shoulders) creates Greek robot outfits			Bright yellow leather jacket, jeans, and a gormless expression create UK 06 rapper Daz.
	6 men suited up makes LT United, who sang "We are the winners" last year for Lithuania.
70s student outfit and a frumpy-dressed partner makes Finnish entry Old Man Fiddle.			A black suit with silver bits and an odd shaped guitar, or a blue suit with big collar and cuffs creates ABBA's Benny and Bjorn.

Female Fancy Dress Ideas
You could dress as Karolina from Macedonia, all you need is a gold breast-plate and red crepe-paper skirt!	Dress as Katrina minus The Waves, with black leather pants, a green shirt and black jacket		A multicolored dress as worn by Lydia of Spain in 1999 will dazzle the other guests, you'd certainly stand out!
Dress in style as Linda Wagenmakers from the Netherlands, who sang "No Goodbyes" wearing a massive black and white striped tent, under which were hiding 2 of her backing singers! It even had a hood!			Another stripey dress, this one in fetching green and purple, modelled by Malteser Debbie Scerri.
Lulu wore a little pink dress way back in '69 when she sang Boom Bang-A-Bang	Some stilts and a white dress make the costume of the crazy woman dancing like a frog for France 2004.		Or a simple dress and nothing on your feet make you Sandie Shaw. You could even come in black and white!
Yet another option, come as Celine Dion, who wore the lovely white jacket and tutu combination!	Why not go as Alla Pugacheva, the Russian Madonna, with a huge wig, large black dress stuffed with pillows and a giant medallion necklace.
Lisa's simple outfit of black top and black pants is a very easy option.	Lou from Germany can be imitated with a white trouser suit with a black t-shirt, topped off by a red wig, and scary facial expression!		Norway's Bobbysocks wore black tops with sparkly pink jackets. You can choose the plain black skirt, or the black and white striped one.
The girls from Estonia 2004 are another alternative, you need a beige caveman look, and don't forget to learn the dance moves!
To be Cheryl Baker from Buck's Fizz you need to wear a red dress, with a blue skirt held with velcro on top of it. The velcro is essential, so you can recreate the skirt-ripping antics of the original performance!
