Yodel In The Canyon of Love
|
|
UK

|
Only the UK would almost pick a song with yodelling in to represent them at Eurovision. This fantastically cheesey Eurovision-by-numbers song begins with a yodel, and this continues throughout the song. The funniest thing is that it finished as runner up behind Love Shine A Light, which won Eurovision! |

Sweden

The fantastic Pay TV were sadly overlooked by the Swedes. The song is almost like "Sex and the City" - the Musical, it is a song about Gucci and other fashionable things, the girls tell us what they like, including "very, very, very, very trendy shoes - like Prada." |

This song, obviously sung by an angel-lover, with a very loose knowledge of the English langauge, was another great song from the National Finals of 2004: "Don't shoot my angels, don't shoot!". You are warned!

The singer compares her lover to chocolate. Includes genius lyrics like "he's my sugar fantasy" and "sweeter than candy when he's loving me" - and the best line "I want a candy boy to melt at my feet!" |

Vilija performed on stage at the Lithuanian NF wearing a dress clearly inspired by Linda Wagenmakers 2000 effort. Her dess covered the entire stage, and she only danced with her arms. She also had a backing singer lying underneath her dress, head only peering out. The lyrics are as unusal as the performance, check them out here! |

It was submitted to the Lithuanian National Final, and was given a place in one of the Lithuanian semis, until someone (a fan?) recognised it. It was in fact "Ben" by Michael Jackson in his earlier years! The 'entrants' recieved a special prize form LTV (Lithuanian TV) for their cheeky effort! |
