1990 |
During the opening song of the contest in Yugoslavia, the intro started and the singers walked out onto the stage, but the backing track failed to kick in, and the 2 singers stormed off. This left the backing band standing around looking sheepish, until the pair returned, and everything ran smoothly the second time round. |

1999 |
In Jerusalem in 1999, Charlotte Nilsson had been confirmed as the winner, and Dana International came onstage to give the award to her successor. When she picked up the trophy, she pretended that it was heavy, and staggered backwards fakely. Unfortunately (but hilariously!) she then slipped and fell to the floor. All the people around were terrified that this had been some sort of assassination attempt, until Dana got to her feet, and pranced around the stage again, looking very embarassed! |

1998 |
During the voting, poor old Ulrika had to cope on her own, as Terry Wogan was busy commentatig for the BBC. Even worse was that, when speaking to former Netherlands participant Conny Vandenbos, Conny told her she had performed in ESC once. Conny said "A long time ago", but this was unclear on tv, so when Ulrika repeated this, saying "A long time ago, was it?" the audience "oooh"-ed loudly, making Ulrika realise her mistake. She quickly tried to back-pedal, saying "No, I didn't mean it like that!" Luckily, Conny knew this, and took no offence. |

1985 |
The presenter Lill Lindfors came out on stage for the show, but "unfortunately" her dress got caught, and ripped off. "Luckily", she just made a couple of alterations to her top and it fell down into a replacement skirt. Of course, this was all an obvious trick, but for a Eurovision joke it was relatively funny. |

1981 |
It was the voting, and all was running smoothly until it came to Yugoslavian spokeswoman Helga. When she was asked for the votes from the Yugoslavian jury, she replied with "I don't have it!". There are different reports as to why this was, but luckily the situation was quickly rectified and the votes were read. |

2004 |
While many countries were having an advert break, the rest were treated to a live cross-over to Taksim Square. Although the presenter there didn't seem to be aware of this, as when they spoke to her, she couldn't hear, and just remained blank, unaware that she was picking her nose live on Eurovision! |

1989 |
Terry Wogan had to try his hardest in this Eurovision to keep us entertained while we watched one of the least fruitful interval acts ever. After a good 5 minutes of setting up bows and arrows, finally the archer-man was ready. His aim was to shoot an apple on the top of a woman's head, by shooting a target, which would launch an arrow at another target, and so on, until the final arrow which would get the apple. When he finally shot his arrow, it ran like clockwork, until the final arrow failed to hit the apple properly, just grazing one side of it. The producers quickly shoved a recording of the rehearsal trick as replay, but nobody was fooled! |

2003 |
In 2003, the woman presenting the votes for Bosnia-Herzegovina got herself slightly confused and went wrong in the votes. This meant she had to start again, but she didn't realise the computer would take some time to readjust the scores to how they were before she began speaking. When she began giving her votes again too early, host Reynars shouted at her and said let's start all again. Luckily she remained in good spirits, and she even said her little "Hello from Sarajevo" speech again. |

2004 |
When Sertab came onstage to congratulate Ruslana as the winner, and give her the award, she had to walk across a small bit of mesh flooring. The heel of her stiletto got caught in a hole, and she walked right out of the shoe. She had to go back and retrieve the shoe from the floor, as we got close ups of it sitting there, ownerless. |

2001 |
The Danes weren't best pleased when the discovered the names Tery Wogan had been calling their presenters. Local newspapers the next day ranted about their tags of "Dr Death and the Tooth Fairy" and more. |
